It was my fault, often I was just exhausted from the day, preoccupied with other obligations, or just too busy "chasing the American dream". The difficult task of finding the time to put forward an honest effort was overwhelming. As more time passed, thoughts of never being quite good enough and my self-defeating attitude became stronger. What had once been a beautiful relationship had grown old and resentful.
However, I pressed on. Determination overcame insecurity. Exposing my faults and vulnerability led to small victories, and frustration turned into celebration.
All good things come to an end; and in the end, it was all worth the effort.

Wow! Congratulations! I wish I had your determination. My doubting periods can last months!
ReplyDeleteThank you Frank! My doubting period for this pic lasted years, 4 to be exact. I started this pic in 2007. It sat dormant for long periods without anything being done to it. It was definitely intimidating.
